GlenWyvis Highland Legacy Series 1 The Drover is the inaugural bottling in the Highland Legacy series from the community-owned GlenWyvis distillery in Dingwall, inspired by the rich and varied history of Highland occupations. This first release honours the drovers who, for hundreds of years, moved cattle from the farthest reaches of the Scottish Highlands to the Lowlands and beyond. The single malt matured in a blend of first-fill Sauternes barriques, first-fill Madeira hogsheads, high strength first-fill bourbon barrels, and first-fill Oloroso hogsheads, resulting in a delightful sweet and nutty character with notes of stewed pears, fresh walnuts, milk chocolate, orange zest, and pepper. GlenWyvis Highland Legacy Series 1 The Drover saw a small batch release of just 3000 bottles.
